Four comfortably and stylishly furnished holiday apartments invite to stay overnight in the historic ambience.
The historically protected house is located at Brauhausgasse 13 in Weimar/Thuringia. Built during 16th century it is one of the oldest dwelling houses in the so called Frauentorvorstadt (old town). Its vaulted basement though, is estimated to be of even older origin.
The “Eckermannhaus” derives from Johann Peter Eckermann, friend and secretary of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. From 1823 until 1831 Eckermann resided here.
The Eckermannhaus was rebuilt and extended in the 18th and 19th century. Due to the lack of maintenance the building reached a devastating condition during the era of German Democratic Republic and therefore had to be completely reconstructed in 1998 to 1999.
We look forward to your visit!
